Frullato Advert Qualitative Questionnaire Results

I created a Qualitative Questionnaire and handed it out to three people to fill in so I could get some feedback on how my advert was planned, filmed and edited. Below are the overall results...

From this response I can see that my advert makes my product look healthy and appeals to a wide ranging audience, which is what I wanted. I can also see that the music worked well with the sequence of footage. I now know that if I were to change my advert, I should be careful when altering the contrast and brightness of the shots.

From this response I can see that a wide ranging audience would consider purchasing my product. Also that the plan of my advert worked well by presenting the product being created. From this I can also see that if there were to be any changes to my advert that I should consider getting more shots of the preparation of the fruit.

From this response I can see that my advert presents the product well in a professional way. It also is said to look refreshing and healthy and should encourage more people to consider healthier options rather than fizzy drinks. From this I also consider that one of my shots may not have been filmed correctly and therefore didn't look effective.

Proposal for my Advert

Format & Medium

I will create a logo for my product using Adobe Photoshop. As my product is a drink, I will design logos for a variety of flavours to make my product and advertisement look more effective. I will print my logo and will be used on the packaging of my product. I will create a advert that is 30 seconds long to promote my product to a wide ranging audience.

Sector

My product will be put on billboards, buses and magazines. Also my advert will be shown on television to promote my product. As there are a variety of ways my product is being promoted, this will give my product recognition and make people want to buy the product.

Working Title

I came up with many different names and slogans for my product. In the end I chose to name my product 'Frullato' and my slogan simply 'bursting with flavour'. I thought this was effective as its easy to remember.

Intended Audience & Age

My product is aimed at a wide ranging audience. It will appeal to both male and female and also a wide age group. This is a benefit to my product as there will be more people interested in the product. As my product is affordable, it will appeal to younger teens. Also as it is getting closer to summer, people are starting to eat healthy, exercise and keep hydrated. Therefore this product fits in well with season too.

Summary of Content

I will make an advert on a new smoothie drink. My advert will include close up shots of the fruit being added and drink being poured and also shots of it being made. My advert will start off with the close up shots of fruit being added with quiet, slow audio. Once the 'start' button is pressed on the smoothie machine a fast, upbeat audio will start to play.  The advert will end on a shot of 4 or 5 different flavours of the smoothie.

Summary of Style

My advert will be simple and short that will use natural lighting along with lighting from the kitchen lights and also a spotlight to make it look more effective.

Legal & Ethical Considerations

When creating my advert I will have to make sure that I do not break any laws. I will consider the ASA codes to see what is allowed and what I am not allowed to do. Such as making the product look like something it isn't. This is known as false advertisement as it is misleading to the audience. Therefore I will make sure my advert is true to the audience with no false information included. Also I need to look at then BBFC age restrictions. My advert will be aimed at a wide ranging audience and due to this there is no age restriction of viewing the advert. I will make sure there is no offensive language or behaviour and that it is overall suitable for all ages.
